Poma
Poma in the native language Twi, means walking stick or staff, which is the inspiration for the front legs featured on these chairs. The brightly colored, wildly patterned cloth of West Africa was love at first sight for Chris, and he has been inspired to use it in his furniture ever since. Often, it shows up in discrete places as a wonderful surprise, such as the bottom of drawers. But these comfortable loungers are meant to celebrate the cloth unique to Africa. CMF purchases cloth from small stalls primarily in Kumasi’s central market in Ghana. Each print is available in very limited quantities, making each chair unique. If you are interested in a particular color scheme or purchasing these chairs in sets, please inquire regarding available patterns.
