Chris conceived of Amalgamation, as a collection of unique furniture that pays reverence to traditional crafts of Ghana and India by merging them with a contemporary, midcentury modern aesthetic. Each and every piece has a story, whether that be of the artisan Martin worked with, the choices and use of materials, the various shapes and their origins, or the history and processes of the various traditional crafts.
